In Chicago, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Illinois on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Came back multiple times because the food was so consistently good, authentic and friendly service. Loved the Italian beef, the deep dish pizza and the mango sorbet. Felt very authentic with friendly service. Would reccomend to others.

During our girlsβ trip to Chicago, we found this restaurant and loved it so much that we came back a second time. Without a doubt, it was one of the best dining experiences we had during our trip. The food was delicious on both visits. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. What truly made our experience special was the service. Our server, Gio, was exceptional from the very beginning. He was kind, attentive, and patient, and took the time to explain the menu in detail while giving us excellent recommendations. He made us feel genuinely welcome, and his outstanding service was one of the main reasons we decided to come back. If youβre visiting Chicago and looking for authentic Italian food, a cozy atmosphere, and top-notch service, this restaurant is a must-visit. I would definitely come back the next time Iβm in the city.

After living in Italy for a while, I have been looking for a real authentic Italian spot in Chicago. I landed across Bongiornoβs in River North and was not disappointed. The friendliest staff & tastiest food, for a good price too. Definitely recommend from a former Milanese. We encountered Gio, Ava, & Filippo, best crewπ

Absolutely loved this Italian spot along the Chicago Riverwalk. The location alone makes it worth visiting, but the food took it to another level. We started with the cheesy garlic bread and it was incredible β perfectly baked, loaded with flavor, and impossible to stop eating. The lasagna was outstanding, rich and comforting with layers of flavor that tasted homemade. My daughter ordered the goat cheese pizza and couldnβt stop talking about how good it was. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. To top it all off, the gelato was the perfect finish to the meal. Great atmosphere, amazing food, beautiful location, and excellent service. Highly recommend this place if youβre looking for a great Italian restaurant in the Chicagoland area.

Took my wife for Motherβs Day and the experience did not disappoint. Everything we had was well executed from start to finish. The pizza was excellent. It effortlessly straddles the line between Chicago-style thin crust and Neapolitanβ¦delicate like a Neapolitan with the crispy undercarriage of a Chicago-style thin. The sauce was balanced and the sausage theyβre using is top notch. Being able to add arugula took it to another level. I also had the Italian sub, which was made on their fresh-baked bread and packed with quality meats. I was already full from the pizza, but it was so good I still polished it off. My wife ordered the Pollo alla Parmigiana, and that was equally delicious. The chicken was tender, the sauce was flavorful, and the penne made it feel like a complete, comforting meal. I also have to give a special shoutout to our waiter, Gio, who provided excellent service and made us feel genuinely taken care of. And the tiramisu at the end was the perfect finish to a perfect meal. This is the kind of place you leave already thinking about when youβre going back. Highly recommend.
